Protect yourself from the spread of Influenza

CYFC is taking every precaution to minimize the spread of influenza within the organization. We are following the guidelines and recommendations of The City of Calgary. Whether facing a regular flu season or a pandemic flu strain like H1N1, by taking steps as individuals, we can better protect ourselves, our families, and those around us.

The link below provides important information about influenza (flu). It shows how you can prevent catching the flu and keep it from spreading.

need money for a great youth project?

We have two great opportunities for yo uth funding, check them out here:

YouthScape Go Grants: You can get money to do something in the community that matters to you! Access YouthScape Go Grants for your youth- led, community- based projects means that you can create projects that you feel are needed in your school, community or neighborhood. Click here to download the grant application.

Through CYFC's Calgary Youth Foundation, you can apply for up to $2500 to pay for a space. This new subsidy is cleverly called Opening Doors, and it is generously supported by the United Way of Calgary and Area. The goal of Opening Doors is to get more kids in Calgary doing fun, positive things outside of school time by making community facilities more available to them. For this program, we are targeting youth between the ages of 12-21; however, anyone in Calgary can apply for an Opening Doors subsidy. For more information, please click here or contact the Calgary Youth Foundation program coordinator.
