Tansie
My name is Edward Choi and I am the new Teen Critic on CBC’s Homestretch Program. Growing up in a family of insurmountable love, which consists of my parents, my brother, Philip and my sister, Michelle, family has always been my highest priority. I am a grade 12 student attending Sir Winston Churchill High School who is convinced that you can fit 30 hours into a 24 hour day. In these 30 hours, I enjoy spending my time with friends, playing the piano, playing soccer, running, volunteering and acting.

Pursuing the things which bring me happiness and learning how to share that happiness with others is the passion of my life. This is why my future plans consist of going to university and hopefully coming out as a doctor. After becoming a doctor, I will be a frequent Calgary Flames season ticket holder and continue to cheer for my favourite team. Because I will be on TV so often for holding excellent tickets, a movie agent from Hollywood will notice me and invite me to start an acting career. At this point in my life I will not only be happily married to the best person in the world but I will also be the star of the next Hollywood blockbuster. Of course, the likelihood of this to happen is zero, BUT I can always be an optimist and wait for the day that I am the luckiest person in the world…or maybe I already am.

Hi, my name is Tansie Kuang and I am one of the Teen Critics! I was born in Canada, Calgary as the smallest member of my family of four. Within my family, I have made my mark as the energetic, possibly nerdy, and almost always active one. As a Grade 11 student attending Western Canada High School, I firmly believe as important as education is, the more enjoyable parts of life of a student comes from the world outside. So one concept that I always follow is just to throw yourself into society and learn what you can. Some things that I enjoy doing are singing in a choir, hanging out with friends, reading books, volunteering, and playing badminton.

As a child I always looked up to those who were more inclined towards business. How they can just waltz into a situation and suddenly make it into their own. This is a goal that I am working towards and hopefully several things will help me attain it. With university just practically around the bend, I have to confess I am scared silly. However if I do get into my university of choice and is able to study in my desired business program, MBA, then I hope to come out of it as a business woman with the whole package of successful negotiator among other things under my belt. I am always ready to learn and take life in full strides but as of now, I wish nothing else other than to enjoy my childhood before my final graduation year.
