What is Youth Week
Youth Week is based on an international initiative which acknowledges, celebrates and advocates youth empowerment, achievement and involvement throughout the year. During this time, Calgary communities, agencies and schools come together to host special events during this week long celebration of youth.
Purpose
The purpose of Youth Week is to address the issues of today's young people, bring together diversified youth, and showcase their talents, while celebrating the richness of their culture.
Mission
The mission of Youth Week is to create a supportive environment that mobilizes and celebrates diverse voices in Calgary.
Vision
Youth Week strives for youth and communities to work together through partnerships. This week fosters an environment in which youth are contributing and valued members of society and where youth and adults have a positive view of each other.
